Paul Oliver Source 4

What are the reasons women make less than men while working the same job?

Stanberry, Kurt, and Forrest Aven. "“Unequal Pay For Equal Work”: Why Women Still Lag Behind After The 50Th Anniversary Of The U.S. Equal Pay Act." Compensation & Benefits Review 45.4 (2013): 193-199. Business Source Premier. Web. 11 Mar. 2015.

The source is about women gender inequality in pay on the same job. The source composes many aspects research that prove the issue. Then the source browses through remedies. They claim that more laws on top of the laws that are already in place will help remedy the problem. The author claims that there is no specific reason or that the reason can't be found as to why this inequality exists. Especially since the Equal Pay Act has been in place for 50 years.

Well the article answers my question without answering it. The article says that there is no answer to my question, basically. No one is sure of why these inequalities exists, they just know they do. That's why the issue persists. There is not enough evidence to blame discrimination. I think the reasons differ on a macro and micro level as my previous source stated. This inequality is okay in some cases and not in others.

The further acknowledges that  there is a problem just like other sources. This source is more evidence based than the others. It further proves the problem that the other sources sad exists.

Will there be an end to this inequality? What is the real remedy?
